The 4th Screen Nation Digital-Is  Media Awards returns once again to showcase the best online work made by black British professional and non-professional digital media creatives working across short film, web series, music promos, blogs, magazines, podcasts, talk shows, social networks and more.

This event will take place on Sunday 14th January 2018 at its new home of Tiger Tiger right in the heart of London’s west end.

Fronting the show will be two creative talents. Actor, writer, producer and all around loveable dad, Nii Odartei Evans will host alongside actress, writer and twerk fitness guru Kelechi Okafor. Angelica ‘GeGe’ Bagot (@TribalUnicorn), the high energy creative online entrepreneur is the newly appointed Creative Director

The Ceremony and behind the scenes are set to be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook Live.

The Awards as always highlights the newborn media maker who can wake up, write, cast, crew and fund a project online, record and edit with a mobile device, launch a YouTube channel to distribute the content, design a blog to publicise their work and find an audience via any one of a number of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope and more.

With the constant debate about the lack of inclusion across mainstream media channels, the Screen Nation Digital-Is Media Awards is a great way to provide emerging voices with a platform that recognises and rewards the wealth of talent succeeding in the digital arena.

TheDigital-Is  Media Awards celebrates excellence by black media professionals and the public working to produce innovative, interactive video content, apps, social media campaigns, games and web channels. The awards also champion outstanding web shows from channels that achieve scale, volume, and noise, no matter what their budgets.

Screen Nation judges also bestow up to four Special Achievement Awards recognising outstanding efforts and innovation in the digital landscape.

The winner of each category will be selected by a unique combination of peer recognition and public votes. Best Director winner selected by industry Jury. Short Film winner selected by audience vote at the Ceremony.
