The RTS offers two bursary schemes each year to undergraduates from lower income backgrounds intending to pursue a career in television. As well as offering a helping hand to those wanting to study television production, they are also keen to encourage undergraduates studying computing or engineering who might consider a career in the technical side of the television industry. 500 WORDS the writing competition returns for the sixth year, and children around the country aged between 5 and 13 years of age are encouraged to get creative and send in their amazing stories by 7pm on Thursday 25 February.
