The film is described as ‘a systemic exploration of African spiritual philosophies and practices across millennia and space, from the ancient Black Egyptians to contemporary times on the continent and its legacies in the Diaspora such as Vodou or Candomble. Caramel Club’s screening of Tupac Resurrection takes place Sunday 10th September @ Brixton Ritzy along with a will host a post-screening panel with MC & hip-hop educator Breis, award winning lyricist Eklipse and journalist and founder of The British Blacklist Akua Gyamfi to discuss themes from the film. Cherno Jagne is a British/Gambian actor who will be playing the lead in the upcoming independent feature film, Haraam, opposite well known Pakistani Actress Ainy Jaffri.

Taking the interracial narrative away from the usual black and white tales, Haraam is a story of unrequited love; and what happens when you fall in love with your best friend, along with the questions that arise when you have two people from completely different racial and religious backgrounds and how cultural diversity and religion can have impact the decisions we make in love.
