AMOS Scholarships For Black Male Students Applications Open Now. Deadline January 22nd 2016

The Amos Bursary selects young men at the age of 16 or 17 (1st or 2nd year of 6th Form) and they remain part of the Bursary throughout 6th Form and University. Young men of African and Caribbean heritage have been identified as the most underrepresented in higher education and in topflight professions. The Bursary provides them with access to a range of opportunities including internships and networking. Bursary students participate in personal and professional development programmes which encourage flexibility in their thinking, and give them the best social and professional skills to survive and thrive as young adults in a competitive academic world.

All undergraduates, except those awarded The Amos Bursary UCL Scholarship and BPP Scholarship, receive an annual bursary of £500.

Channel 4 Launches BAME Production Training Scheme in Scotland. Deadline 15th January 2016

Channel 4 has opened its highly successful Production Training Scheme in Scotland for the first time, targeting people from BAME backgrounds and those with a disability.

The Nations & Regions Production Training Scheme is offering six three-month contracts with some of Scotland’s best TV production companies. Roles are for entry level researchers and production co-ordinators.

National Youth Theatre Auditions & Interviews Open For Acting & Tech Courses. Deadline 31st Jan 2016

The National Youth Theatre, the UK’s leading youth arts organisation, is holding auditions and interviews across the country for its 2016 intake acting and technical courses. Successful applicants will follow in the footsteps of alumni such as Dame Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Chiwetel Ejiofor CBE and Sir Daniel Day Lewis, getting the chance to train with the NYT on acting and technical courses over the summer of 2016.
