Black Lightning Starring British Actress Christine Adams Comes to Netflix UK Jan 23rd!

Brilliant news, DC’s Black Lightning series will land on Netflix UK, Tuesday January 23rd on Netflix!

As we reported back on May 19th, 2017 [1Black Lightning is our hope for a better DC future. What with Marvel dominating the superhero space, DC has been playing catch up for a while.

So far Black Lightning has received positive reviews after its January 16th premiere on the CW network in America. The series follows Jefferson Pierce, who retired from his superhero persona Black Lightning nine years ago after seeing the effects it had on his family. He’s forced to become a hero again when the rise of the local gang The One Hundred leads to increased crime and corruption in his community.

What’s great for us is British Blacktress Christine Adams (Real Husbands of Hollywood, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) plays Jefferson Pierce’s ex-wife, Lynn. Pierce is played by  Cress Williams (Grey’s Anatomy, Living Single). Along with Jefferson having to reconnect with his superhero persona, the two will have to deal with their daughters – Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) both showing signs of having superpowers.

We’re so excited because it’s a black superhero family people, on screen, prime time! Yay! This preps us nicely for Marvel’s Black Panther!

Black Lightning comes to Netflix UK Tuesday, January 23rd and will air every Tuesday for 13 episodes.

Look out for TBB’s #OutOf100 review SOON!
