Black Panther’s Danai Gurira To Star In “Avengers: Infinity War”, Also in 2018!

Although she will next be co-starring in the soon-to-be released Tupac Shakur biog All Eyez On Me, as Black Panther party member Afeni Shakur, it has just been announced that Danai Gurira is reprising her role as Dora Milaje Commander Okoye in the currently filming Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War movie!!!

The Zimbabwe-American actress has worked hard for her recognition. For her intelligence, she is an award-winning playwright. The most important of her works being the Tony award-winning Eclipsed – the first play to premiere on Broadway with an all female and black cast and creative team, which starred Lupita Nyong’o in 2015.

Ten years previously, she co-wrote and co-starred in In the Continuum, a story of two women who were navigating the world after contracting the AIDS virus, sponsored by the US Embassy in Zimbabwe

For everything else, she has an award-winning debut movie role as supporting actress in the 2007 film The Visitor. But most significantly, she has played popular and highly regarded Michonne, a warrior with a Katana sword preference in The Walking Dead, since season 3, 2012.
