Glimpse British Blacktress Lashana Lynch in new Captain Marvel teaser trailer…

Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.

Lashana Lynch plays ‘Maria Rambeau’ aka ‘Photon’ also an Air Force pilot and one of Danvers’ oldest friends. She’s also a single mother. In preparation for the role, Lynch met with pilots who were also mothers to develop a more authentic character.

We last saw Lynch in Noel Clarke’s series ‘Bulletproof’ which he created and starred in. Lynch played ‘Arjana Pike’ the wife of Clarke’s co-lead Ashley Walters. [1 ]

Lynch is said to be excited to be a part of the increasing visiblity in superhero films of black characters. Riding on the wave of the massive success of Black Panther. [2 ]

Captain Marvel’s recently released teaser trailer garnered 109 million views in 24hrs. Which was probably boosted by the fact that Marvel fans still consoling themselves the super stressful Avengers Infinity War ending, were checking for clues as to how Captain Marvel will feed into how Avengers 4 will play out. Especially after Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) managed to just about send a distress call to Captain Marvel’s pager just before… you know what happened.

That’s about all that makes sense, and tbh we didn’t want to go digging too much before we stumble on a super Marvel Geek’s accurate storyline prediction.
