We last saw the immaculately talented Giles Terera performing his one-man show The Ballad of Soho Jones – a show which profoundly connects with the soul with an intimacy only the most sublimely gifted performer can. We are still hoping someone will recognise it as a potential fully-staged musical and get on with a West End translation! Read our review here.

Until then, Terera works, continuously honing his art and considerable talents for our delight. In tonight’s second of 2 shows, as part of the awesome Pizza Express Live programme, Terera draws us in again, with another offering full of warmth and familiarity. His new solo show features songs from his own career and life – shows such as Avenue Q, The Rat Pack, Rent, Candide, Book Of Mormon, Honk!, Porgy and Bess, Pure Imagination, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and many more!

This time around, he has invited some special guests, and tonight, they will be two award-winning British Blacklisters- the great Clive Rowe (Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors) and the fantastic Clint Dyer (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, The Royale)!

Terera’s award-winning career as an actor, singer and writer has taken him all over the world performing in some of the greatest venues in entertainment, including Ronnie Scotts, The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, Birdland New York, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Globe Theatre; has organised and hosted such tribute events as 2013’s Walk In The Light series of conversations with Bitish Blacklisters of every generation. As a composer he has written for theatre and film.

A performance by Terera should not be missed! Ever!
