Winners from last night’s Golden Globes 2017 Awards
Unfortunately none of our #TBBfaves won in their categories – Ruth Negga for Loving missed out in Best performance by an actress in a motion picture – drama to Isabelle Huppert for Elle, Dev Patel for Lion missed out on Best performance by an actor in a supporting role in a motion picture to Aaron Taylor-Johnson for Nocturnal Animals, Riz Ahmed for The Night Of missed out on Best performance by an actor in a mini-series or motion picture made for television to Tom Hiddleston for The Night Manager and Thandie Newton for Westworld missed out on Best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a series, mini-series or motion picture made for television to Olivia Colman for The Night Manager.
But, apart from pre-show host Jenner Bush Hager & during the show actor Michael Keaton BOTH somehow managing to call Hidden Figures, HiddenFences (combining nominated Hidden Figures and Fences – two African American films of two completely different subject matters, and starkly different casts…)
Tracee Ellis Ross was the first black woman to win lead TV actress in a comedy/musical series for her role in Black-ish since Debbie Allen in 1983 who won for Fame.

it was tense for a moment when it seemed the highly critically acclaimed film Moonlight was going to be horribly snubbed and not get any of its 6 nominations especially when Barry Jenkins missed out on both the Best Director and Best Screenplay wins and TBBFave Naomie Harris didn’t get Best Supporting Actress. BUT all redeemed itself when Moonlight took the biggest win of the night, Best Motion Picture drama… all was well with the world!
And the #GoldenGlobes Best Motion Picture – Drama winner is… @moonlightmov! Congratulations! pic.twitter.com/mjKxyYNFco
