British Black talent Damson Idris joins the cast of the rebooted Twilight Zone series.

CBS All Access dropped the new trailer giving fans of the anticipated sci-fi reboot a glimpse of what they can expect.

With no clear direction of which way the narrative will go, all we see in the trailer are quick scenes from some of the episodes. Exec produced by award-winning Jordan Peele (who also narrates) we see characters played by Sanaa Lathan (Love and Basketball, Nappily Ever After), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and our own Damson Idris (Snowfall).

The overall tone is that the characters will face challenges which will force them to question their very existence.

We’re excited to see Damson Idris in the mix. His career has been going from strength to strength after landing the lead role in John Singleton’s series Snowfall, which tackles the rise of the crack epidemic during 80s America. Idris also leads actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s debut autobiographical feature ‘Farming‘ which tells of Agbaje’s experiences being fostered to a white family and eventually becoming a skinhead. Farming premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival, we’re yet to hear news about its UK and global release date.

The Twilight Zone comes to CBS April 1st with a double bill. No news as to when we’ll get it in the UK.
