Job Description: Marketing Intern

Job Purpose: To support the marketing of the Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami release through grassroots initiatives both online and offline to reach the UK-based Jamaican and wider  black audience nationwide, alongside helping with our student campaign where NUS cardholders can see the event on 25 October for just £5.

The film is released via a special event on 25th October 2017 across 150+ cinemas, followed by a general release on 27th October 2017 and other one-off events.

Term: Fixed term, from Monday 9 October – Friday 27 October. Based in Trafalgar Releasing’s Old Street office. Monday to Friday.

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Expenses: Trafalgar Releasing will cover expenses up to £125 per week for travel and food.

Main Duties:  

[1] Contacting relevant organisations to spread the word of the release to relevant databases and social channels. This includes leveraging:

  • Email marketing through databases
  • Social support with links to trailer / poster / ticketing website
  • Endorsements of local influencers
  • Ticket giveaways through local media in key markets
  • Poster placements in physical spaces (i.e hair salons, community centres)

[2] Helping with the preparation and operation of events relating to the film.

[3]  Undertaking any other duties, which may be reasonably requested of you for the effective functioning of the Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami release.
