Snowfall (Season 4) – 24th Feb 2021 (BBC iPlayer)

Business is booming in season four of Snowfall. It’s January 1st, 1985. Ronald Reagan has won his re-election campaign proclaiming it is “morning again in America,” but in South Central, Los Angeles, it feels more like the sun is getting low. The demand for crack cocaine is high, and while our crew of dealers led by Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) is benefiting greatly from the rising tide of addiction, they are also starting to become aware of the damage the drug is doing to the people and to the place they love. With the entire nation taking note, the LAPD is diverting serious money and resources to the “war on drugs.” Politicians’ phones are ringing. Powerful people are concerned from the hallways of The White House to those of CIA headquarters, where there are whispers that one of their own may be involved in this burgeoning epidemic.

Loki – May 2021 (Disney+)

Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority organisation after stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019) and travels through time altering human history using it, ending up trapped in his own crime thriller. Starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Morning Show) as a high ranking member of the TVA and Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country) in an as yet undisclosed role.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier – 19th March 2021 (Disney+)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set sometime after Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. As the name would suggest, it focuses on Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier. Things are a bit different than previous times they’ve worked together, however. Steve Rogers is notably absent, with Sam Wilson having taken up the new Captain America mantle in his stead. Now, Wilson and Barnes are a crime-fighting duo, teaming up against Zemo (Daniel Bruhl), the primary antagonist from Captain America: Civil War, who’s now wearing his iconic purple mask from the comics and anarchist group Flag-Smashers.

Godzilla vs Kong – 21st May 2021 

Fearsome monsters Godzilla and King Kong square off in an epic battle for the ages, while humanity looks to wipe out both of the creatures and take back the planet once and for all. With Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Danai Gurira in supporting roles.

Locked Down – 5th March (HBO Max)

Just as they decide to separate, Linda (Anne Hathaway) and Paxton ( Chiwetel Ejiofor) find life has other plans when they are stuck at home in a mandatory lockdown. Co-habitation is proving to be a challenge, but it will bring them closer together in the most surprising way.

Chaos Walking – In Cinemas March 5th 2021

In Prentisstown, Todd has been brought up to believe that the Spackle released a germ that killed all the women and unleashed Noise on the remaining men. After discovering a patch of silence out in the swamp, his surrogate parents immediately tell him that he has to run, leaving him with only a map of New World, a message, and many unanswered questions. He soon discovers the source of the silence: a girl, named Viola. With David Oyelowo and Cynthia Erivo in supporting roles.
