All fairy tales end with ‘happily ever after‘ but what happens after ever after?
In this re-telling of the classic Jack and the Beanstalk, we begin where the original story ends but instead of the Giant (David Walliams) being dead as we all remember, he is only concussed and is now stuck on earth with no way to get home. Jack played by Eddie Karanja, once again saving the day, now has to find a way to get the giant home and away from the angry villagers. The two become very unlikely friends and must find a way to trust and help each other.
Jocelyn Jee Esien (Little Ms Jocelyn, 3 Non-Blondes, Turn Up Charlie) plays Jack’s wicked but not so wicked mother Pat. Of her time spent playing Eddie’s mother she says “… If he decides to run away from home and needs somewhere to live for the rest of his life he can come and stay with me. He really has become my son and I’ve become his mum”.
Jack And The Beanstalk: After Ever After was created and written by David Walliams and The Dawson Brothers.
Sky One has revealed that the programme will air over the Christmas period but has not confirmed an exact date. It will also be available to stream on Now TV.
