This Noel Clarke produced four-episode series focuses on a business owner Jodie (Jill Halfpenny), a mother who is convinced a young boy is her son who went missing as a four-year-old. Jade Anouka (His Dark Materials, Small Axe) stars as Yasmin, Jill’s friend and business partner and Babs Olusanmokun plays Ade (Black Mirror, The Night Of) an employee at their business.


Finding Alice – 7th February 9pm, ITV (all episodes available to view on ITV Hub)

If you have been watching ITV’s heart-wrenching Finding Alice, you would have seen Rhashan Stone star as the blunt realist mortuary worker Nathan Johnston, who develops a deep friendship with Alice. For those who have no idea about the show: the story begins on the day Alice moves into her new home with husband Harry and daughter Charlotte – but tragedy strikes when Harry is found dead at the bottom of the stairs. Alice is forced to embark on a journey of loss and discovery. Dominque Moore also stars as Yasmina, Alice’s late husband’s assistant.


Malcolm and Marie – 5th February, Netflix

John D Washington and Zendaya star as Malcolm and Marie in this stylish black and white Netflix original drama. The film centres on the strained couple as they return from Malcolm’s film premiere where he forgets to thank Marie in his speech despite the film being based on Marie’s past struggles. Beautiful aesthetics are supported by brilliant performances from the pair.


Strip Down Rise Up – 5th February Netflix

Strip Down Rise Up follows a group of diverse women who use pole dance and sensual movement to heal their trauma and body image issues in this thought-provoking documentary. Award-winning filmmaker Edward Osei-Gyimah edits this intimate show of the power and resolve of the body.

Namaste Wahala, which loosely translates to ‘hello trouble’, is a love story between a Nigerian girl and a Hindi boy which, consequently results in the marriage of two cultures. It is an epic/comic romance that features Nollywood and Bollywood’s best – Richard Mofe-Damijo, Ini Dima-Okojie Sailes Ahuja, and Broda Shaggi.
