Silent Witness: S25 – Monday 23rd May 9pm | BBC One

The hugely popular crime series celebrate its 25th anniversary. Opening in Liverpool with an assassination attempt and Sam Ryan calling on the Lyell team with a plea for help seventeen years after leaving the Lyell. Sam seeks to usher in democratic health care, but the shooting of the Health Secretary and Sam’s husband pulls Dr Nikki Alexander, Jack Hodgson and Simone Tyler into a world of duplicity, intrigue and betrayal. In this eye-opening documentary, Troy sets out on a mission to find out why the teaching of diversity in our schools remains optional and strives to change this. Troy meets people on both sides of the debate and talks about his own troubled school experiences, inspiring support from prominent contributors such as boxer Anthony Joshua, actor David Harewood MBE, ex-footballer and pundit Micah Richards, musicians Big Narstie and DJ Cuppy and MP Layla Moran, as well as young activists, teachers and pupils campaigning for change.
