David Harewood celebrates one of Britains most loved authors and festive staples Charles Dickens as he travels to Italy tracing Dickens’ steps based on letters he wrote home. Mo Gilligan provides some festive cheer in his final late show after four years on channel 4 and catch the soulstress Mica Paris performs gospel classics at St Alfege Church in Greenwich.

And like the rest of the country we can’t wait to watch the highly anticipated The Winter King starring Nathaniel Martello-White as the great Wizard Merlin.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians – Wednesday 20th December | Disney+

12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, is coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt; with his friend’s help, Percy must restore order to Olympus.

The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan: Christmas – Wednesday 20th December@ 10pm | Channel 4

On his final show Mo Gilligan joined by an all-star line-up of celebrity guests, including Leona Lewis, and Allan Mustafa. Mo’s studio audience will get into a nationwide karaoke battle against Babatunde Aléshé’s squad of partygoers in Manchester.

Mica Paris: A Gospel Christmas – Saturday 23rd December @ 8pm | Sky Arts

The singer performs gospel classics and contemporary festive favourites at St Alfege Church in Greenwich, accompanied by a choir of 10 gospel singers and a four-piece band, with songs including I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Amazing Grace and Oh Holy Night.

Five struggling single mothers come together to form a support group to help each other overcome their problems. Later, their sisterhood gives them inspiration and hope to overcome obstacles.
