The BBC is really giving us some treats this week with the return of series 2 of the highly-anticipated The Responder starring Adelayo Adedayo and catch Romario Simpson in Granite Harbour series 2. Or head over to Netflix to see Aml Ameen in the limited drama series A Man In Full.

Faith Ringgold: Tell It Like It Is – Monday 29th April @ 11:40pm | BBC Four

The Harlem-born artist, author and activist in her New Jersey studio and in the heart of Harlem as she prepares for a show at the Serpentine Gallery in London. Ringgold painted some of the most truthful and empowering representations of African Americans during the civil rights and women’s movements of the 1960s and 1970s. Despite being dismissed by the art establishment, she told her story using numerous art forms, including traditional quilts which have their roots in the slave culture of the South.

Shardlake – Wednesday 1st May | Disney+

During the dissolution of the monasteries in the Tudor era, Matthew Shardlake is sent by Thomas Cromwell to investigate the death of a commissioner in the remote town of Scarnsea. With Babou Ceesay.


A Man In Full – Thursday 2nd May | Netflix

Facing relentless foes and sudden bankruptcy, an Atlanta real estate tycoon must claw his way back to the top when his empire begins to crumble. With Aml Ameen.


The Beast Must Die – Thursday 2nd May | ITVX

After learning the police investigation into the fatal hit and run of her young son Martie has been dropped, Frances Cairnes (Cush Jumbo) takes matters into her own hands. Posing as a novelist researching a new murder mystery, Frances ingratiates herself with the family of George Rattery, the man she suspects is responsible and sets a plan in action to kill him.


Granite Harbour – Friday 3rd May @ 8pm | BBC One

Lindo, (Romario Simpson), Bart, and the police team investigate two fatal cases with dark consequences at their heart, immersing the Major Investigations Team in the granite city’s criminal underworld.

Lindo’s estranged father, Grantley, arrives for a visit from Jamaica. However, he’s got an agenda of his own.

The Responder – Sunday 5th May @ 9pm | BBC One

Chris Carson, a police officer, gets demoted and begins working the night shift while trying to deal with his personal problems. Carson and Rachel Hargreaves are back on the beat in Liverpool, picking up six months after the murder of drug dealer Carl Sweeney. With Adelayo Adedayo and Amaka Okafor.
