With the 2022 FIFA World taking place from 20th November, our TV programming is packed full of Football focused programmes …

So we picked some programmes that we think ur audience will enjoy! Follow Rio Ferdinand as he explores the status of race, sexuality and mental health in the game and catch up with David Beckham as he mentors an East London Grass roots team trying to get on top of their game. If music and comedy is your thing then catch the MTV awards or have a laugh with Mo Gilligan and Big Narstie as they chop it up with guests.

Imagine: Sonia Boyce, Finding Her Voice – Monday 7th November @10:40pm | BBC One

Follows artist Sonia Boyce as she represents Great Britain at the 2022 Venice Biennale, making her the first black woman to hold this prestigious role. Cameras follows the installation of her pavilion, which draws on the lives of black women in the British music industry.

Set in the late 1980s, Hap and Leonard is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of murderous psycho killers, some lost loot, and the fuzz. Starring Michael K. Williams.


Save our Squad With David Beckham – Wednesday 9th November | Disney+

Following David Beckham as he returns to the East London football pitches where he played as a child. He will mentor Westward Boys, a young grassroots side, struggling to survive in the league.


Rio Ferdinand’s Tipping Point – Friday 11th November | Prime Video

Documentary series exploring three key issues impacting football today. Rio unravels the football ecosystem to explore the status of race, sexuality and mental health in the game today.


Say Hey, Willie Mays! – Friday 11th November @9pm | Sky Docs

Documentary following the life of the baseball player, who became one of America’s first black sports superstars after playing in one of the first ever televised games.


The Big Narstie Show – Friday 11th November @ 11:05 – Channel 4

Big Narstie and Mo Gilligan host a fifth series of the BAFTA-winning, anarchic, late-night chat show, featuring celebrity interviews, hilarious sketches and music performances joined by guests including hip-hop superstar Eve, actor and all-round tough guy Ross Kemp and Celebrity Gogglebox regular Bez for more music and chat.


MTV EMA 2022 – Sunday 13th November @9pm | MTV

Stormzy, Äyanna and more will take the stage at this years awards.


The People’s Piazza: A History of Covent Garden – Sunday 13th November @9pm – BBC Two

David Olusoga explores the 400-year history of the public space in London’s West End, which has been a market, a meeting place and a site of protest, performance and renewal. Telling the story of the piazza from its early years as a playground for the aristocracy, through decline and dereliction to eventual rebirth, the programme weaves archive material with virtual production techniques to bring to life the history of this renowned civic space
