Now in it’s 5th exciting year, the 2016 Young Songwriter competition is open for entries from across the UK & Ireland from 1st February!
If you’re aged between 7 and 18 and love writing your own original songs, then enter before 9th April 2016! There’s no need to enter professional recordings. Songs will be judged on their originality, lyrics, melody, composition and potential to be a smash hit! However a good recording can most certainly help to enhance the impact of your song . You can use apps like GarageBand to create your original music.
For each song, submit an entry form. To send your song to us either upload an mp3 audio file or message us your audio recordings via SoundCloud.
This competition will be separately judged for 7-12 year old and 13-18 year old. Each entrant may enter up to 3 songs (and 3 additional joint entries). Entry fee is £5 per song to cover administration costs.
You can receive expert feedback on your songs before you enter. Make sure your songs are the best they can be and have a better chance of being the 2016 Young Songwriter winner!
