LONDON, UK – Tuesday 20th May — No Password Required, an initiative of Republic of Story in collaboration with The British Blacklist, and supported by the Film Distributors’ Association, Film Export UK, My Smash Media, ARTEF, and the BFI, is set to launch a bold new industry platform to support Black and Global Majority-owned* production companies across Europe.
Launching 12th June 2025, the initiative will host the first edition of a dedicated industry market focused on Black and Global Majority-owned film production companies. Taking place in London, with future editions planned across Europe, the market will feature curated showcases, pitch sessions, screenings, talks, and informal gatherings. The aim is to foster cross-border relationships, support co-productions, spotlight entrepreneurial producing talent, and create new pathways for creative and commercial exchange among culturally dual Europeans.

In parallel with the market, No Password Required is building a publicly accessible map of Black and Global Majority-owned film production companies across Europe. Companies can now submit their details to be included. The map will serve as a long-term industry tool, supporting increased visibility, peer connection, and future collaboration.
