David Oyelowo and Pippa Bennett-Warner cast in a new Murder Mystery Thriller

The yet-to-be-titled murder mystery thriller comes from Searchlight Pictures.

The film is set in 1950s London, where a desperate Hollywood film producer sets out to turn a popular West End play into a film. When members of the production are murdered, world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and overzealous rookie Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) find themselves in the midst of a puzzling whodunit within London’s glamorous Theatreland and sordid underground.

Tom George (This Country) directs, TV writer Mark Chappell (Bliss) wrote the script and Damian Jones (Belle, The Iron Lad) produces.

With their roles on this project not yet disclosed, will next see Pippa Bennett-Warner probably returning as Shannon Dumani in the second series of the successful Sky Atlantic show Gangs of London. She is currently filming BBC\Amazon project Chloe and can be seen in Channel 4’s Maxxx written by and starring Handmaid’s Tale star O.T Fagbenle. She made her feature film debut in Aki Omoshaybi’s debut indie Real.

David Oyelowo can next be seen in Sony’s Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. He is currently in production on the HBO Max/BBC One psychological thriller limited series The Girl Before, in which he stars with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. He’s also working with Nate Parker (Birth of a Nation) on two projects Solitary about a man in solitary confinement for seven years who comes out into a world of self-isolation, and the Sugar Ray Robinson biopic.
