Grab Your Tickets to The Final Week of Nicholas Pinnock in, The Royale, at The Tabernacle!

With less than a week to go, TBB urges you to get your “limited availability” and “last few” tickets to see über talented British Blacklister Nicolas Pinnock in the critically acclaimed role which sold out The Bush Theatre in the Spring of 2015.

We were there! We saw it happen and why! Pinnock’s Jay ‘The Sport’ Jackson dreams of being the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. But it’s 1905 and, in racially segregated America, even getting the chance to face the white champ is as good as knocked out. Told in six rounds and set in a boxing ring, The Royale is inspired by the often overlooked story of Jack Johnson, the boxer who inspired the late great Muhammad Ali who, at the height of the Jim Crow era, became the most famous and the most notorious black man on Earth.

Written by award-winning American writer Marco Ramirez (Orange is the New Black), The Royale was playing to critical acclaim all over America before its European debut last year, when it didn’t disappoint…

You won’t have the pleasure of seeing accomplished fellow British Blacklister Clint Dyer reprise his role as the coach, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing him soon enough!

The Royale runs at The Tabernacle, Ladbroke Grove until Saturday 27th November 2016. Book your tickets here
