We Are Parable The British Blacklist and The New Black Film Collective will be screening the critically acclaimed Grace Jones documentary Grace Jones: Bloodlight & Bami Sunday 29th October at 1.30pm Ritzy Cinema, Brixton.
After the screening, there will be a panel discussion, and then an afterparty upstairs, with a special VJ set from DJ Croc.
The British Blacklist, The New Black Film Collective and We Are Parable have joined forces to bring you a special screening of the highly anticipated Grace Jones: Bloodlight & Bami, the documentary which gives rare and exclusive insight into the world of a musical icon.
Directed by Sophie Fiennes, Grace Jones: Bloodlight & Bami takes the viewer on an intimate journey where we get to see Jones as a daughter, mother, sister and grandmother, alongside taking to the stage for a specially commissioned performance, with legendary hits including Pull Up To The Bumper and Slave To The Rhythm showcased in full. We also see Jones getting back to her Jamaican Roots as she connects with family back home and reminisces about the highs and lows of her strict religious upbringing.
Come and join us for an exclusive chance to see behind the legend, the fashion muse, the ground breaking musician, and symbol of sexuality at her most open, honest and relatable.
This special screening of Grace Jones: Bloodlight & Bami will be followed with a panel discussion and afterparty with a VJ/DJ performance from DJ Croc from the Got Soul Collective.
