The long-awaited musical Cats is in UK cinemas now, and TBB caught up with one of its stars, Royal Ballet dancer Francesca Hayward.
The star-studded film adapted from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning stage musical follows a group of cats who must decide, who will be lucky enough to be awarded the chance to enter the Heaviside Layer and return in a new life.
Directed by Tom Hooper, Cats stars incredible actors and musicians such as Jennifer Hudson (Sing) Jason Derulo, Idris Elba (Hobbs & Shaw) Taylor Swift, Dame Judi Dench (Red Joan) Sir Ian McKellen (The Good Liar) and that’s just to name a few.
Taking to the big screen for her debut feature film performance, Kenyan-English ballerina, Francesca Hayward plays Victoria the White Cat. Hayward spoke to TBB’s Sheena Tenkorang and shared her experience of working on the production, training and who she was most excited to work with.
