Another week, another round up of some of the latest trailers for films to look forward to.

We are really looking forward to what we would say looks like Kevin Hart’s best work yet in Fatherhood, and with the long-awaited trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage we are really looking forward to seeing Naomie Harris as Marvel’s Shriek.

Awake – Wednesday 9th June (Netflix)

Chaos ensues after a global event wipes out all electronics and takes away humankind’s ability to sleep. But Jill, an ex-soldier with a troubled past, may hold the key to a cure in the form of her own daughter.

Rogue Hostage – Friday 11th June (on-demand and in select theatres)

Single father and former Marine Kyle Snowden (Tyrese Gibson) must save his daughter and other hostages from a dangerous criminal who has trapped them inside a neighbourhood store owned by Kyle’s polarising stepfather, Congressman Sam Nelson.

The House Next Door: Meet The Blacks 2 – Friday 11th June (UK Release Date TBA)

When best-selling author Carl Black moves his family back to his childhood home, he must team up with oddball neighbours to do battle with a pimp, who may or may not be an actual vampire. A horror spoof with an all-star comedy cast.

Fatherhood – Friday 18th June (Netflix)

A father brings up his baby girl as a single dad after the unexpected death of his wife who died a day after their daughter’s birth. A heartwarming, funny, and emotional true story about a widower taking on one of the toughest jobs in the world: fatherhood. Starring Kevin Hart, Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, and DeWanda Wise.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage – Tuesday 7th September (In Cinemas)

Picking up from the post-credit scenes of the first film which introduced a truly fearsome foe from the Marvel comic books: Cletus Kasad. The sadistic serial killer is known for bonding with his own symbiote to become Carnage, a twisted monster that revels in torturing those unfortunate enough to cross his path. Naomie Harris stars as Shriek.

SOLOS – Coming Soon (Amazon Prime Video)

The series ponders what it means to be human, arguing that we are connected to others through shared experiences, even in our most isolated moments. The dramatic anthology series stars Morgan Freeman, Uzo Aduba, Nicole Baharie, and Anthony Mackie

Vivo – Coming Soon (Netflix)

An animated musical adventure that follows VIVO, a one-of-kind kinkajou (aka a rainforest “honey bear,”), who must find his way from Havana to Miami in order to deliver a song on behalf of his beloved owner and mentor Andres.
Voice talent includes Zoe Saldana as Rosa, Gabi’s mother, Brian Tyree Henry, and Nicole Byer as a pair of star-crossed spoonbills, Leslie David Baker as a Florida bus driver.
