Volunteer Opportunities for the 59th BFI London Film Festival. Deadline 5pm Monday 28th September 2015

bfi_volunteeringThe BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® is the UK’s biggest public film event. In 2014, the festival premiered 248 feature films and 148 shorts from over 50 countries. It also provides a professional delegate service for members of the international film industry and international press as well a number of public, industry and educational events.

All this would not be possible without the support of festival volunteers, who assist with various activities including hospitality, meeting and greeting guests, signposting, providing support and information. The contribution of the volunteers helps make the festival happen.

BFI is seeking volunteers with excellent communication skills, a friendly manner and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels. Some prior event or administrative experience is a bonus but not essential as they will provide opportunities to develop your skills.

Volunteers will be based at BFI Southbank (nearest station is Waterloo) but there may also be the opportunity to assist at some of the other festival venues, such as in Leicester Square. In return for your time BFI will provide an allowance for travel and food, plus a chance to enjoy the festival itself.

To be part of this year’s festival, please apply by completing the volunteer application form (click here for form).
