What To Watch W/C Monday 21st November

We do enjoy a good documentary, and there is plenty for you to enjoy this week!

Whether you enjoy music docs, docs about art and history, or football we have a variety to choose from. if documentaries are not your thing then you can have a laugh with comedian Trevor Noah or take an evening out and catch Nanny or Lashana Lynch as Ms Honey in Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical.

The Black Italian Renaissance – Monday 21st November @ 8pm | Sky Arts

Documentary highlighting the untold stories of African people who lived during the Italian Renaissance, often appearing in famous paintings only to be unacknowledged.


Between the Covers – Tuesday 22nd November @ 7pm | BBC Two

This week actor and author Paterson Joseph joins the show to discuss his favourite books, as well as reviewing this week’s two book club choices – Sometimes People Die by Simon Stephenson and The Long Song by Andrea Levy.

Green Lions: Cameroon ’90 – Tuesday 22nd November @ 9.30pm | BBC Four

No one expected Cameroon to shine at the 1990 World Cup in Italy. They had only made it to the finals once before, in 1982, when they scored only a single goal. And this time they were fielding Roger Milla, a 38-year-old striker called out of retirement. We all thought the Indomitable Lions would be on the first plane home. At least, we did until Africa’s only qualifiers beat Argentina in their opening game…
